There's Always Another Gulf Town.

A Weekend in Port Aransas

Start in Port Aransas and keep going. Fishing towns, beach roads, dockside restaurants and hidden stretches of coast—there's always another piece of the Gulf worth discovering.

Some Gulf towns are places you visit.

Others somehow become part of your story.

Port Aransas is one of those places.

Sitting on Mustang Island along the Texas Gulf Coast, "Port A" doesn't try too hard.

That's part of its appeal.

Golf carts roll through town. Fishing boats come and go. Beach gear hangs from balconies. People walk into restaurants looking like they spent the entire day on the water.

Nobody seems particularly concerned about dressing up.

Perfect.

Friday — Arrive & Slow Down

Don't over-schedule it.

Drop your bags and head toward the water.

Walk the beach. Get something cold to drink. Find some seafood. Listen to some live music.

Start adjusting to Gulf time.

Saturday — Get on the Water

Wake up early.

Fishing is part of Port A's DNA.

Head offshore on a charter, fish the bays or jetties, or grab a rod and find some shoreline.

Not fishing?

Get on a boat. Look for dolphins. Explore Mustang Island.

Or do the simplest thing possible.

Go to the beach.

Bring chairs, a cooler and lunch.

Stay longer than you planned.

Saturday Night — Eat the Gulf

After spending all day looking at the Gulf, taste it.

Find fresh seafood.

Start with oysters or shrimp.

Order the catch of the day.

Blackened, grilled or fried—pick your favorite.

Then find a patio, a cold drink and some live music.

Port A isn't about velvet ropes and bottle service.

It's flip-flops, patios, fishing stories and somebody playing guitar.

Exactly how a Gulf town should be.

Sunday — One More Look

Grab breakfast and coffee.

Then go back to the beach.

Even if it's only twenty minutes.

Take one more look at the water before heading home.

And start talking about when you're coming back.

Where Do We Go Next?

Port Aransas is just the beginning.

From the Texas coast through Louisiana, Mississippi, Alabama and Florida, there are hundreds of Gulf communities waiting for us.

We'll find the fishing holes, beaches, dock bars, seafood joints, local traditions and people that give each one its personality.

One town. One dock. One restaurant. One story at a time.

Because Gulf Collective isn't here to tell you where your Gulf should be.

We're here to help you find it.
